Pharmacist - Pharmacist Inpatient

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• Block scheduling: Wednesday through Tuesday, 7 days on and 7 days off
• Weekday shifts run from 7:30 PM to 5:30 AM
• Weekend shifts run from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, every other weekend
• Weekend coverage is required
• Sole pharmacist on duty during overnight shift hours with no pharmacy technician coverage
• Responsible for order verification and managing a PharmacyOneSource queue to address clinical alerts including pharmacokinetic and renal dosing
• Not expected to attend code blues or rapid responses
• Missouri state pharmacy license required
• BLS certification preferred; PharmD and RPh credentials required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Meditech EMR experience required
• Must be proficient in anticoagulation therapy, clinical dosing, geriatric dosing, high-alert medications, pediatric dosing, pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dosing, therapeutic medication monitoring, and warfarin dosing
• Intravenous preparation skills required including antibiotics, compounding, IV piggyback, and sterile technique
• Experience with medication dispensing systems including Pyxis and unit dose storage systems required
• Pharmacotherapy management experience required across cardiovascular, endocrine, infectious disease, pulmonary, and renal areas
• Cardiac dosing and drug shortage management skills preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Travelers only; 60-mile radius restriction with no exceptions
