Respiratory Therapist Job in Hilo, HI

Hilo Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on a 15-week contract beginning August 17, 2026.

Your Role

You will provide continuous airway management and respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations. Your responsibilities include managing and supporting ventilators and non-invasive ventilators, performing physician consulting, administering CPR, and delivering all aspects of respiratory care. You will utilize computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, and specialized equipment including PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac transport ventilators.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications
• RRT certification preferred
• NRP certification preferred
• No first assignments accepted

Compensation and Schedule

You will earn $2,181.24 per week. Please note there is no guarantee of hours. The contract runs for 105 days with a start date of August 17, 2026.
