Description
Opportunity:
Echo Technologist - Echo Tech; Fetal Echo Sonographer
Job Details:
• Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule with no call and no weekends required
• Day shift hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Perform fetal echocardiography exclusively using high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques
• Obtain, review, and compile pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data to facilitate diagnostic results
• Prepare patients for examination by explaining procedures and utilizing 2D optimization and 3D manipulation techniques
• Differentiate artifacts from normal or pathological processes and recognize limitations of the exam
• Provide interpreting physicians with oral summaries of diagnostic findings and preliminary written reports
• Analyze echocardiographic data and review results with reading faculty for final interpretation
• Collaborate with fetal radiologists, MFM physicians, and surgical teams to provide diagnostic imaging and guidance during fetal surgical procedures
• Assist with procedures in both clinical and operating room settings as needed
• Share knowledge and provide technical support for team members, including assisting with teaching Fellows, visitors, and new departmental staff
• May participate in clinical research related to prenatal cardiovascular disease and present findings in selected forums
• Experience on Samsung Hera W10 fetal cardiac systems preferred
• ARDMS certification in Pediatric (PE) and Fetal Echocardiography (FE) required
• Associate's degree in a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric echocardiography preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Valid Ohio single state or multi-state license required
• Copy of certifications required in submission profile
