ICU RN Job in Dickinson, ND

CHI St Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its ICU. You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend and holiday availability required based on unit needs.

Role Overview

You will care for patients in a 4-bed ICU unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2–3 depending on acuity. Common diagnoses include DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac rate and rhythm control, and medical detox. You will manage patients on respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to ventilator, titrate ICU drips, and independently read and interpret telemetry monitor strips. Patients may require arterial lines and CVP monitoring. The ER department provides charge nurse coverage; there are no nurse aides or patient care techs on the unit.

Floating and Assignments

You may float first to Medical/Surgical or Emergency Room for 1:1 assignments as needed.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC/TCAR certifications, or documented experience with trauma patient care
• BSN not required

Orientation and Logistics

Three orientation shifts of 12 hours each are required. Charting is performed in MEDITECH. Scrub color is navy.
