Respiratory Therapist Job in Bristol, Tennessee

You will work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 14, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 shifts per week, 12.5 hours each (6:00 AM to 6:30 PM)
• Day shift only—no on-call responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $2,203.20
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census changes

Role and Responsibilities

You will provide respiratory care to patients across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Your clinical skills will include adult critical care, arterial punctures, BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula, mechanical ventilation weaning, ABG interpretation, and emergency department respiratory therapy.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• RRT certification required (CRTs considered)
• AHA ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Permanent residence 100+ miles from the hospital service area
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Drug screening must be completed within 12–14 calendar days before your start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit-testing guidelines
• Flu vaccine required (medical or religious exemptions only)

Orientation

General orientation begins on Mondays with online computer-based learning modules. You will complete 16 hours of non-billable orientation plus 4–5 hours of non-billable modules during your first week. Epic system training will be provided as needed.
