CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Operating Room. You will work Monday through Friday on day shifts, with 8-hour shifts and 40 hours guaranteed per week. This is a 13-week contract assignment beginning June 22, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Circulate in the cardiovascular operating room with strong focus on cardiothoracic surgery
• Support anesthesiologists during heart surgeries, traumas, elective cases, and general surgeries
• Assist anesthesia providers throughout various operating room specialties
• Set up and manage medication pumps, Belmont equipment, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment
• Assist with intubations, fiber optic scopes, and sterile techniques with central lines
• Work across 21 operating rooms with 4–5 rooms assigned per day

Schedule and On-Call Requirements

• One overnight call shift and one backup call shift per week
• 30-minute response time required for call situations; vehicle required
• Every 3rd–4th weekend and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN License or current compact RN license
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing
• Minimum 3+ years of operating room experience with anesthesia experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with Cell Saver and Belmont equipment
• Strong CVOR circulating experience
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
