Med Surg RN Job in Anniston, AL

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical nursing at RMC Anniston, serving adult and geriatric patients. This is a 56-week travel assignment starting July 6, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $1,944.

Schedule and Expectations

• 3x12 day shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Option to switch to a 4x12 shift schedule if preferred
• 30-minute lunch break required—no skipped meals
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

• Current Alabama nursing license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA) and Fit Test
• Proficiency in IV starts, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac
• Competency with charting system required

Preferred Qualifications

• Travel nursing experience
• Level II Trauma experience
• Previous charge nurse experience
• NIHSS certification

• Blood product administration
• Colostomy and ileostomy management
• Feeding tube care and management
• Heparin and insulin administration
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• PCA pump management
• Peripheral line and PICC line care
• Surgical drain management
• MS/Tele monitoring
