PCU Registered Nurse Job in Wausau, WI

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• 13-week contract with ASAP start date
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) required
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Tele experience required
• Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips
• At least one travel assignment must be completed
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Care for 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit with typical patient ratio of 1:4
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover
• Treat post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients
• Handle post-procedure catheterizations, pacers, defibrators, and ablations
• Manage acute chest pain/MI and medical/surgical overflow patients
• Any scrub color permitted
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility location
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
