About this role
Virginia Hospital Center is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our Radiology and Cardiology department in Arlington, VA. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 15, 2026, working 5 days per week on day shift (8-hour shifts).
Role Overview
You will replace a current traveler whose contract ends June 13, 2026. In this role, you'll work with adult acute care and outpatient patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. You'll utilize specialized clinical skills including IMRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, CT simulation, and various treatment planning techniques. Experience with emergency cases, electron beam therapy, and respiratory gating is preferred. Knowledge of tumor localization and custom mold creation is beneficial.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience required
- Current VA state license (active and in hand at time of submission)
- ARRT R, ARRT T, and CMD certifications
- Epic charting system experience (preferred); you must provide an EPIC experience statement from the past 12 months
- Attendance at either an accelerated or 2-day Epic class is required unless you have returned within the past 6 months
Assignment Details
You can expect up to 7 hours of non-billable modules during orientation. This is a smoke/nicotine-free facility. You should be prepared to work some holidays with minimal requests for time off. Previous staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler.
Compensation
This position offers $2,880 per week.
