ED RN Job in Smyrna, TN

You'll work as a registered nurse in a 39-bed Emergency Department at Stonecrest Medical Center. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 19, 2026, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), including every other weekend.

Role and responsibilities:

• Manage a patient ratio of 4:1, with surge beds assigned to each section
• Deliver critical care including management of drips, sedation protocols, and emergency codes
• Perform advanced assessments and interventions: STEMI recognition, stroke protocols, sepsis management, and trauma response
• Assist with procedures including intubation, chest tube insertion, and splinting
• Operate specialized equipment including Rapid Infuser and Glidescope
• Document patient care in Meditech EDM system

Team environment:

You'll work alongside a full team: a free lead, unit clerk, behavioral health sitters, paramedics, EMTs, and LPNs. The culture emphasizes teamwork and personalized patient care.

Required qualifications and certifications:

• Current RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
• Demonstrated experience with critical care drips, sedation, ESI (Emergency Severity Index), and codes
• Experience with STEMI, stroke, and sepsis protocols required
• Preferred: trauma experience

Logistics:

You'll wear charcoal grey scrubs. Compensation is $1,801 per week. This assignment runs for 91 days at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tennessee.
