Job Details:

• 1:4 patient ratio across all shifts
• 2 years of recent emergency room experience required with full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months
• Previous charge experience and travel experience required
• Weekend requirement: Every third weekend coverage and/or 8 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule period
• At least 4 weekend shifts per contract required
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Navy scrubs required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, PALS
• Must be comfortable with pediatric, psychiatric, IV therapy, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic care
• Skills include managing ventilated patients, continuous IV medications, emergency response, triage, and splint application
• Float required to all SLHS Metro EDs with potential for regular floating between departments and facilities
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Must have both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• No on-call requirements
• Work with patients of all ages including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Handle approximately 143 visits per day in 32-room emergency department
