Intermediate Care Unit RN ICU

Job Details:

• Work in Intermediate Care Unit as part of Float Pool
• Patient population includes Med/Surg, PCU, and ICU patients
• Expected ratio is 1:2 with maximum ratio never exceeding 3:1
• Float between IMCU and step-down units (not to medsurg units)
• Care for patients with complex withdrawal syndromes including OUD requiring continuous drips and alcohol withdrawal requiring MINDS protocol
• Manage hypertensive urgencies and DKA patients with insulin infusions and frequent glucose monitoring
• ICU RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years experience in area of clinical specialty and at least 2 years of RN experience in general
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• PA or MSL Compact Registered Nurse License required
• Basic Life Support certification required, additional certifications per order check
• Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under physician direction
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to individualize care
• Direct nursing support staff according to nursing practice standards and policies
