ICU RN Job in Dickinson, ND

CHI St Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 4-bed ICU unit. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend and holiday availability required based on unit needs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2–3 depending on acuity
• Manage patients on respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
• Independently read and interpret telemetry monitor strips
• Titrate drips typical to ICU settings
• Monitor patients requiring arterial lines and CVP monitoring
• Float to Medical/Surgical or Emergency Room as needed for 1:1 assignments
• Chart using MEDITECH

Patient Population:

You will care for patients with common ICU diagnoses including DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac rate and rhythm control, and medical detox. The unit operates without dedicated nurse aides or patient care technicians, and charge nurse coverage is provided by the ER department.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC/TCAR or demonstrable experience with trauma patient care required
• Ability to work independently and identify unsafe situations
• Strong teamwork and coachability
• BSN not required

This position requires 3 orientation shifts of 12 hours each. You will wear navy scrubs. Weekly pay is $2,322. The assignment duration is 91 days, with a start date of September 21, 2026.
