PICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You'll provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health. This is a 3x12 night shift position for 89 days, beginning April 13, 2026, offering $2,930.40 weekly pay.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care to pediatric patients with conditions ranging from straightforward to highly complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients throughout your shift
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
• Communicate with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge
• Make referrals to appropriate personnel for specialized patient care needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• PALS certification from American Heart Association
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Level 1 experience
