ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume emergency department with over 100,000 annual visits
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling requirement
• Must be flexible to work in all areas of the emergency department
• No floating outside of ED but must be open to floating between all ED sections
• 2 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
• Previous Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Navy scrubs required dress code
• Support staff includes techs available for cardiac monitoring, triage, and internal processing
• Unit clerks available for day and night shifts
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Follow patient experience requirements including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards updated
