RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Rotating shift schedule working both Day (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) and Night (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) shifts
• Candidates will be scheduled into existing gaps as needed and may work day shift one week and night shift the next, or a mix of both within the same week
• Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• 1 holiday shift required
• No on-call required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BSN required
• PA or compact nursing license required
• Must be proficient with CRRT/CVVHD, Hemodynamic Monitoring, IABPs, Impellas, and caring for post-operative heart surgery patients (CABG/Valves)
• Patient ratio of 2-3 patients per nurse
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Float to any Adult ICU or Telemetry with an appropriate assignment if census is down in CVICU
• Key skills required include arterial line management, central line care/management, ventilator management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz monitoring, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella, CVVHD/CRRT, and post cardiac surgery care
• Special equipment used includes IABP, Impella, ECMO, POC devices (EPOC and Sig Elite), pacemakers, VADs, and rapid infuser
