PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekends per schedule
• Holiday schedule integrated with permanent staff
• Patient ratios: 1:3 for Stepdown patients, 1:4-6 for floor patients
• 32 total beds (12 Stepdown, 20 floor)
• Care for typical medical-surgical population including chest pain, COPD, altered mental status, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, and hospice patients
• Must be able to read telemetry strips in conjunction with monitor technicians
• Handle titratable drips in Stepdown unit; floor patients receive PCAs and heparin
• Float to any floor or stepdown unit as needed
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
• BSN not required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting system
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility
• Can only submit to one position at a time across the entire health system
