ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Minimum 5 years of emergency room nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Self-scheduling environment
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 50-70 patients with 12 rooms and 11 beds in the unit
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and unit secretary
• Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and triage
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must be AHA or ARC)
• Valid California state nursing license required
