ICU RN Job in Parkersburg, WV

WVU Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 18-bed Intensive Care Unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 30, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,420.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 3x12 night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday based on unit needs)
• Holiday requirements may apply based on staffing needs
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available when unit needs are met

Role Responsibilities

• Typical patient ratios of 1:2, may extend to 1:3 with overflow/stepdown patients; 1:1 for CRRT and organ donation cases
• Titrate critical care drips within ordered parameters
• Care and removal of central lines
• Float to Stepdown and Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Competency required with CRRT, IABP, ventilators, post-code protocols, and therapeutic hypothermia
• Skilled management of vasoactive medications, sedation, and paralytics

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year critical care experience; travel experience preferred
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Unexpired driver's license copy required with application

Facility Information

• All 18 ICU rooms are private with negative pressure capability
• EPIC charting system
• 2 shifts of general/floor orientation required
• EPIC education and general competencies must be completed before start date
• Dress code: royal blue scrubs required; scrub jackets permitted; hoodies and sweat-jackets not allowed
