Respiratory Therapist Job in Largo, FL

You'll work as a Respiratory Therapist at HCA Florida Largo Hospital, a 290-bed facility with a dedicated respiratory therapy department of 21 staff members. This is a night shift position (7P–7A) on a 3x12 schedule, giving you structured hours and predictable time off.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide critical care respiratory support with strong ventilator management skills
• Float between the main hospital and the psych/rehab department at Largo West campus
• Perform nebulizer treatments and arterial blood gas (ABG) draws from arterial lines and fingersticks
• Assist with intubations, code responses, and rapid responses
• Demonstrate solid assessment skills and ability to work with Servo and 840 ventilator equipment

Shift & Schedule

You'll work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. Night shift typically includes 4 therapists on duty. This 91-day contract begins February 10, 2026.

What We're Looking For

Critical care skills and ventilator management experience are required—candidates without these competencies will not be considered. You'll need to demonstrate strong assessment abilities, work well as part of a team, and thrive in a busy environment. Meditech experience is preferred.

Facility Details

Day shift includes 6 therapists and a supervisor on staff. Parking is available in the garage on the third and fourth floors for AM and PM shifts. Required scrub color is gray.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,576.80.
