NICU Transport RN Job in Tampa, FL

St. Josephs Hospital - Baycare Health System is seeking a registered nurse for a NICU transport position in Tampa, Florida. You will provide critical care to neonates and pediatric patients during helicopter and ambulance transports, managing a 1:1 patient ratio with a daily census of 4–8 transports per day.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 nights with self-scheduling flexibility
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: July 20, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,265.41
• Weekend requirement: 6 shifts per 6-week schedule

Requirements:

• Current Florida nursing license or compact license
• Minimum 2 years of NICU/pediatric experience
• Helicopter and ambulance transport experience required—no exceptions
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Must pass EKG exam (pass/fail, 3 attempts allowed)
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Core Clinical Skills:

• Management of neonatal and pediatric acute conditions including prematurity, HIE, respiratory distress syndrome, hyperbilirubinemia, and asthma
• Airway management including intubation assistance, suctioning (ETT, NT), and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Central line and peripheral IV insertion, maintenance, and blood draws
• NG tube and urinary catheter insertion and management
• Chest tube management and placement
• Arterial blood gas interpretation
• Anti-seizure medication administration
• Pediatric dosage calculations and Broselow system use
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• TPN/Lipids management
• Hypothermia protocol implementation
• UA/UV line placement

You may be required to float within the hospital as needed. Uniform: royal blue scrubs.
