CVOR RN Job in Alexandria, LA

CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA is seeking an RN for their Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Room (CVOR). This is a day shift position working 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call requirements during the week and weekends. The assignment is 98 weeks, starting July 6, 2026.

Role Responsibilities:

• Practice independently in the cardiovascular surgery nursing setting
• Provide routine and complex patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate care assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact license
• BLS (AHA) certification
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

Compensation:

Weekly pay is $3,066. This travel position offers you the opportunity to work in a specialized cardiovascular surgery environment while maintaining flexibility through travel nursing.
