Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts with patient ratios of 1:6
• Accept 36 or 48 hour weekly assignments for 13-week contracts
• Required to work every other weekend
• Frequent floating required to other Med Surg/Telemetry areas, may include COVID care units
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with 1 year direct Med Surg experience required
• Must have at least 2 successful travel contracts (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Required certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS; ACLS preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Navy scrubs required
• 36 hours of unit orientation
• Required skills: IV start, telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg neuro experience
• Work with PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems
• Care for stroke patients, neurosurgery patients, epilepsy, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week
• Must complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Make-up shifts required for any call-offs within the same week or at end of contract
