Registered Nurse - PCU @ IU Health Arnett Hospital

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Registered Nurse - PCU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with weekend coverage required<br>• Self-scheduling with float requirements as needed<br>• Patient ratios: Medical Surgical patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4 (acuity based)<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS<br>• Minimum 1 year of experience required with solid neuro experience preferred<br>• Will accept MS/Tele or PCU RNs<br>• Must have Indiana state license, compact license, or Indiana temporary license prior to start<br>• Scrub color: red top, black bottoms<br>• Free parking available<br>• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)<br>• 36 hours of orientation provided<br>• One pre-approved time off day available<br>• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays<br>• Care for adult and geriatric patients in mixed acuity unit including oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients<br>• Manage cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips<br>• Handle unstable stroke patients and BiPap management<br>• Skills include central line care, blood product administration, cardiac drip titration, chemotherapy monitoring, and post-cardiac procedures<br>• Daily census: 29-31 patients across 31 rooms/beds<br>• Floating required 100% within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby<br>• Indiana residents not accepted for this position</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This short-term acute care hospital features 194 staffed beds and operates a dynamic mixed acuity progressive care unit.
