Opportunity:

RN - CVOR Peds

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with possible 4x10-hour shifts depending on case load
• Alternating call rotation required: 1 week of 1st call, followed by 1 week of 2nd call from end of day until next morning
• 1st or 2nd call required on evenings and weekends
• Cerner EMR experience is required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Pediatric experience is required
• Perioperative nursing experience required
• Cardiac surgery experience strongly preferred
• Experience with complex cardiac procedures and cardiopulmonary bypass preferred
• Pediatric, congenital, or adult congenital cardiac experience preferred
• Active Florida RN license or multistate eNLC license in good standing required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA PALS, ACLS
• CNOR, CPN, or equivalent certification preferred
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties for complex cardiac procedures
• Prepare the OR and ensure cardiac instruments, equipment, implants, and supplies are available
• Support procedures involving cardiopulmonary bypass and coordinate with perfusion team
• Maintain sterile technique, surgical counts, time-outs, and accurate documentation
• Anticipate intraoperative needs and respond appropriately during complex or emergent cases
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, anesthesia, perfusion, surgical technologists, and nursing staff
• Support quality improvement, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives
• Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Skills required include cardiac monitoring, CVOR, scrub pediatric cardiovascular surgery, cardiothoracic robotic surgery, code response, wound management, administration of blood and blood products, and universal protocol time-out procedures
