Telemetry RN Job in Charleston, WV

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 1, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 4x12 nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekly pay: $2,306

Unit Overview

You will work on a 39-bed telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients. The unit is split between inpatient and observation (approximately 50/50), with observation patients typically staying 36 hours or less. You will float within like units when necessary.

Patient Care

Standard patient ratio is 1:5, which may increase to 6-7:1 during call-ins or staffing shortages, with you managing 5 of your own patients and backing 1-2 of an LPN's patients. Patient populations include acute MI, unstable angina, CHF, unstable arrhythmias, cardiac disorders, CVA, and surgical patients. Experience with cardioversion, TEE, thoracentesis, bone marrow biopsy, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and paracentesis is preferred but not required.

Clinical Requirements

• Post Cardiac Cath, Post Angiogram, and PTCA experience required
• Proficiency with heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, and nitro drips
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; minimum 1 year in-specialty telemetry experience required
• Two years of telemetry experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Credentials and Licensing

• WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
• BLS/BCLS through AHA required
• ACLS through AHA preferred

Additional Information

Charting system is Cerner. Scrub color is Royal Blue/White for RNs. Holiday RTO requests are limited to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays.
