Respiratory Therapist Job in Atlantis, FL

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist in the respiratory therapy department at HCA Florida JFK Hospital, providing treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema. This is a night shift position (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 3x12 schedule.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing patient ratios that vary throughout shifts
• Operating equipment including oxygen cylinders, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP and BIPAP machines, V60, Servo-1 and Servo-U ventilators, and high flow devices
• Documenting care in the Meditech system
• Responding to call requirements as needed
• Collaborating with a permanent staff team of 2–4 RRTs supported by per diem staff
• Demonstrating active disciplinary approach and collaborative physician relationships

Requirements:

• Current NBRC certification and RT License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
• At least one prior travel assignment
• Grey scrubs required

Preferred qualifications:

• Stroke education and experience
• Previous Meditech experience

This assignment runs for 91 days, starting April 14, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,576.80.
