About this role

Join Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital - Nursing as an Electrophysiology Technician. You will provide technical support in the EP lab, working directly with physicians to deliver high-quality cardiac care to middle-aged and older adult patients.

Role Details

  • Work 4x10 day shifts, guaranteed 40 hours per week
  • On-call responsibilities required
  • Float to all three hospital locations within a 20-mile radius (Martin North, South, and Tradition)
  • Minimum 2 years of EP lab experience required; catheterization, interventional radiology, and EP experience preferred
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrophysiology lab procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and cardioversion
  • Assist with insertion and programming of automatic implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (AICDs) and pacemakers
  • Conduct tilt table studies and interpret dysrhythmias
  • Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately
  • Serve as room circulator and maintain sterile field during procedures
  • Apply isolation precautions and personal protective equipment per protocol

Required Certifications and Skills

  • Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCIS, and CCI RCES
  • RCVT and RCIS certifications preferred
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac pharmacology and EKG interpretation

Onboarding Requirements

You will complete time-sensitive onboarding modules upon assignment confirmation, averaging 6 to 15 hours of pre-start and annual training. EKG and pharmacology assessments are required during orientation with a maximum of two attempts each. Assignment cancellation will result if either assessment is not passed.
