Occupational Therapist Job in Bradenton, FL

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for a 91-day assignment. You'll provide occupational therapy services across a 28-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) and 383-bed acute care hospital.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning for patients across both units
• Manage patient caseloads: 4 patients per day on the IRF unit and 8-12 patients per day in acute care
• Participate in team conferences and provide family training sessions
• Instruct patients on adaptive devices and equipment use
• Utilize Meditech EMR system for documentation

Work Schedule:

You'll work 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM). Weekend and holiday coverage rotates with hospital staff, with a minimum of one weekend shift per month required. The hospital values weekend flexibility and encourages increased weekend availability.

Facility Resources:

You'll have access to state-of-the-art therapy equipment, including two full therapy gyms and an ADL apartment for hands-on patient training and skill assessment.

Requirements:

• Active Occupational Therapist license
• BLS certification
• Hospital and IRF experience highly preferred
• Stroke and neuro experience preferred
• Demonstrated willingness to work on the IRF unit with weekend flexibility
• Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills

Compensation & Timeline:

Weekly pay is $1,752. The assignment runs 91 days, beginning May 5, 2026. You'll be stationed in Bradenton, Florida.
