Interventional Radiology Technologist Job in Bakersfield, CA

You will work as an Interventional Radiology Technologist at Mercy Hospital Downtown in Bakersfield, California. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 2, 2026, with a weekly pay of $3,474.80.

Schedule and Responsibilities

You will work four 10-hour day shifts, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Your schedule includes every-other-weekend (EOW) requirement and on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays. Weekend call coverage runs from Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM. You will be first to float when needed and support two campuses with two technologists scheduled during day shift.

Clinical Work

You will handle an average of 2–4 cases per day in the Imaging Department, located on the second floor. Your patient population includes dialysis catheter, IVC, TIPSS, and CT biopsy support cases. You will not work with pediatric patients but may work with the inmate population.

Equipment and Systems

You will operate equipment including GE Innova, MedRad Injector, GE Logic Book, and Angiojet. Electronic medical record systems include Cerner and RADNET.

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree
• ARRT (R) certification
• BLS Certification
• Fluoro certification
• ARRT (RT)(R) preferred with (VI) certification

Work Environment

Scrub color is teal. You will collaborate with the imaging team in a hospital setting supporting multiple clinical areas.
