Laboratory - Histology Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 day shifts Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• No on-call or weekend responsibilities
• Perform routine and complex histology procedures used in pathology diagnosis
• Assist in the pathology grossing area and participate in general maintenance of the histopathology laboratory
• Immunohistochemistry (IHC) experience required
• ASCP HTL certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or ASCP registry as HT or HTL required
• 2 years of experience in Hospital clinical laboratory required
• Experience with additive fixatives, core biopsies, curettings, decalcification, excision specimens, and formalin required
• Commercial or Reference Laboratories experience preferred
• Must have DC license in hand at time of submission
• Two supervisory references required, including one from most recent assignment
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of contract signing
• Labs and drug screen appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing
