Pharmacy Tech - Pharmacy Tech

Job Details:

• Flexible scheduling available with 8 or 10-hour shift options
• Directs, manages, and supervises daily administrative operations to ensure highest quality service delivery consistent with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards
• Develops operational and financial outcome measures, tracking and monitoring systems, and integrates efforts into organization-wide Quality Improvement systems
• Directs, implements, and evaluates development of departmental and service-related policies and procedures
• Proactively assesses program and service effectiveness and facilitates continuous process improvement
• Develops and supervises staff through timely feedback and appropriate Human Resource policies to ensure highest level of professional growth and performance standards
• Plans, directs, implements, and evaluates computer-based information and dispensing systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy of data capture
• Develops, manages, and supervises purchasing and inventory management functions to ensure cost-effective inventory management and timely availability of pharmaceuticals
• Facilitates professional growth of staff by assessing learning needs and coordinating learning opportunities
• Prepares monthly progress and operational reports identifying areas of improvement and concern
• Participates in departmental orientation, on-the-job training, and quality assurance programs
• Bachelor of Science degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of Pharmacy required
• PharmD preferred with 1-year residency (PGY1) preferred
• Minimum two (2) years of pharmacist experience with two (2) years in hospital practice preferred
• Five years of professional experience with two years of management experience required
• Current and active, unrestricted Pharmacist license required; Arizona license preferred
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred
