Respiratory Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. You will work a 3x12 day shift schedule, with hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Your Role

You will provide respiratory care services across critical care units and floors with floating capabilities. You'll work with both adult and pediatric service lines, including NICU care. Your patient ratios will range from 10–25 patients, and you should expect a varying weekend schedule that includes at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week rotation.

Equipment and Systems

You will work with specialized respiratory equipment including:

• GE R860 Adult ventilators
• Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
• Newport HT70 transport ventilators
• V60 Non-invasive devices
• Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices

You will utilize the Cerner electronic medical records system for documentation and patient care coordination.

Required Qualifications

• North Carolina Respiratory License
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Preferred Qualification

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Additional Details

You will work within a respiratory therapy department of approximately 120 staff members. Dress code requires medium gray/pewter scrubs.
