Radiation Therapist Job in Santa Cruz, CA

You will work as a Radiation Therapist at Sutter Health Radiation Oncology Services in Santa Cruz, delivering evidence-based radiation treatments to adult and geriatric patients. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a 5x8 day shift schedule starting June 29, 2026.

Your Role

• Perform routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician-developed treatment plans
• Execute safe and precise procedures with sound clinical judgment
• Conduct patient assessment and attentive monitoring with effective communication
• Deliver accurate results in a timely manner while maintaining patient safety
• Support a daily census of 50 patients with a 5:1 patient ratio during day shifts

Schedule and Flexibility

Your shift may start anytime between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM, so you must be flexible with scheduling adjustments.

Required Qualifications

• Active ARRT T certification and BLS (AHA) certification
• Valid California state license at time of submission
• Hands-on experience with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT systems
• Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience
• Previous travel healthcare experience
• Available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
• 7-year work history verification

Preferred Skills

• Epic electronic health record experience

Onboarding

You will complete orientation modules averaging 1–5 hours each. You must adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and safety protocols.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $3,214.08.
