Operating Room RN Job in Augusta, GA

AU Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 11, 2026. You will work days, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM in four 10-hour shifts, with seven call shifts required over a 6-week period. Weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage is part of this role.

About the Role

You will function as both circulator and surgical technician during peak surgery hours, coordinating the delivery of perioperative patient care and managing surgical suite activities. Your experience will span a broad range of surgical specialties, with some charge nurse responsibilities possible. You will provide age-appropriate patient care addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs while maintaining excellent organizational skills and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Current RN license (single state or compact)
• Minimum one year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience required
• CVOR experience is essential for this position
• BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS must be current within 180 days)
• Associates in Nursing or Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Dual role capabilities in scrub and circulating preferred
• Maintain 12 contact hours per year for continuing education
• Participate in annual safety and infection control programs

Compensation and Details

This position offers $2,530.80 per week. You must demonstrate commendable attendance and punctuality, with flexibility required due to ongoing patient care needs.
