Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM on a 13-week contract
• On-call required after shift hours Friday through Sunday during scheduled weeks
• Must be available for at least two days of call each week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule depending on need
• Minimum of 5 weekend shifts per contract required
• Overtime days each week
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• All time-off requests must be submitted with initial application and are subject to facility approval at time of booking
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, including Level I Trauma experience
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Travel pairs and trios are welcome
• Must have CST certification through NBSTSA - pending certifications are not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, CST through NBSTSA
• CVOR experience required, including First Assist roles
• Clinical skills required: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, ASD repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, ECMO, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, VAD management
• Average patient volume of 3 hearts per day
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Floating required - may float to Main OR if CVOR volume is low, and only to units for which qualifications and training are demonstrated
