Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float pool position covering multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Obs
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Required to work 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
• Must have 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required
• Prior neurology experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• May float to other acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and Med Surg Telemetry
• Rare possibility of floating to Zone 5 facilities in extreme need situations
• Heparin drip titration required
• Care for adult and geriatric population with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, urology post-surgical, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine patients
• 1-2 day orientation with preceptor
• EPIC charting system
• Any color scrubs allowed
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Must be flexible with scheduling and available to fill gaps in permanent staff schedule
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
