RN - Wound Care

Job Details:

• Provide shift accountability for delivering care to Wound/Ostomy Care patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday with some Saturdays as needed and weekend availability required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Wound Care RN in a hospital setting required
• BLS certification required and must be through the American Heart Association
• Texas or multi-state compact RN license required
