RN - Peds

Job Details:

• Work evening/night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Required to take on-call shifts
• Must float as a sitter and may float in rotation
• Washington State or Compact RN Licensure required
• Active BLS and PALS certifications required
• Coordinate and provide high quality patient care in a caring and compassionate manner utilizing the nursing process and unit specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess each patient's individualized plan of care
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and/or treatments
• Continually evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes
• Accurately document care provided, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses
• Collect patient information needed to provide safe, high quality care
• Complete holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond appropriately
• Determine and complete appropriate nursing actions to meet care goals including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative patient needs
• Teach patients, families, and/or significant others appropriate health information in a timely manner
• Maintain current knowledge base of workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures
• Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff according to hospital and unit policies
