Float Pool RN Job in Janesville, WI

Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville is seeking an RN for a float pool position on the night shift. You'll work 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, three days per week, with a 91-day assignment beginning August 25, 2026. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required.

In this role, you'll float across multiple inpatient units, including Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, Orthopedic/Neuro, and Sub-Acute. Your responsibilities will include:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and Wisconsin state practice standards
• Develop and execute individualized patient plans of care in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team
• Provide patient and family education aligned with the plan of care
• Document care according to established standards
• Apply critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through appropriate channels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
• Participate in unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
• Offer clinical expertise and guidance to other units as needed for continuity of care

You must hold a current Wisconsin nursing license. Required certifications include NIHSS and CPR/BLS. Travel RN experience is preferred. Education verification will be required.

This position offers weekly pay of $2,332.
