PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Recover patients after procedures in a Phase I PACU and Phase II recovery setting
• Variable shift start times at 0800, 0900, 1000, or 1200
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Float within department to Phase II recovery as needed
• No on-call or weekend shifts required
• Manage and assess patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including pain management, airway assessment, and post-operative monitoring
• Administer treatments, medications, and nursing skills in a timely and competent manner
• Coordinate care with physicians, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Utilize Epic charting system (required)
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; PALS preferred
• Valid California RN license required
• Proficiency with skills including arterial line management, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia recognition, IV vasopressors, PCA pump management, extubation, and end-tidal CO2 monitoring among others
