SLP Therapy Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health - Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for acute care delivery in Charleston, SC. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 22, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM–5:30 PM or 8:00 AM–6:00 PM)
• Alternative option: 5 days per week with shorter shifts
• No weekends or on-call requirements
• Weekly pay: $1,929.60
• Free offsite parking with shuttle services

Role & Settings

You will work with pediatric patients across inpatient, outpatient, and inpatient rehabilitation environments. Patient populations include neonates, infants, and adolescents in NICU, PICU, cardiac units, and general pediatrics. In outpatient settings, you may address developmental, feeding, and communication disorders. Inpatient rehabilitation work focuses on neurologic, developmental, and medically complex cases. You may float within your scope of practice based on experience and facility needs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of clinical experience (travel experience required)
• Current ASHA certification and South Carolina state licensure
• BLS certification
• CCC-SLP credential
• MBSImP certification
• Radiation badge (provided by agency)
• Light gray scrubs
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Onboarding

• 40 hours of structured orientation
• Non-billable modules totaling approximately 4 hours prior to start date

Additional Information

During hurricane season (June through November), you may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed. You are an experienced clinician who meets or exceeds all certification and licensure standards and can commit to a travel assignment in a specialty pediatric acute care setting.
