About this role

Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking an Allied Health Professional Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work a 7 ON / 7 OFF schedule with paid coverage of 40 hours per week, earning $3,888 weekly.

Schedule and Availability

  • 4x10 night shifts: call begins at 4:00 PM and ends at 7:30 AM Monday through Friday
  • 24-hour call coverage on Saturday and Sunday
  • Call required 7 days per month with at least 1 weekend per month
  • Work every other weekend required
  • Average call-in and late cases occur twice per week
  • Limited time off during holidays with mandatory holiday rotation

Role Responsibilities

You will provide imaging and scrub coverage for the hybrid vascular room, supporting three vascular surgeons with vascular surgical cases including arterial, visceral, and venous intervention, and AAA stent procedures. Duties include peripheral intervention with possible conversion to open procedures, tray and table setup, X-ray and imaging operation including DSA, radiation safety management, and assisting surgeons with wires, catheters, balloons, stents, and closure devices.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cath lab, IR, or special procedures
  • Travel experience required
  • Permanent license in-hand at time of submission (temporary licenses not accepted)
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT (if no RCIS), RCIS (if no ARRT)
  • Ability to scrub; scrubbing open cases is a strong bonus
  • Inpatient and outpatient work setting experience
  • Equipment documentation experience required

Clinical Skills

Required expertise includes aseptic technique, airway management, line insertion, TEVAR, pericardial window, mitral valve replacement, femoral popliteal bypass graft, EVAR, endovascular aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass graft, carotid endarterectomy, cardiomyoplasty, atrial septal defect repair, atherectomy, and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. Additional skills include central line insertion/management assistance, procedure circulation, rotablator atherectomy, TAVR, and ventricular assist device insertion.

You will work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a hybrid operative setting supporting both percutaneous and open surgical procedures.
