Respiratory Therapist Job in Austell, GA

Cobb Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts in our critical care areas. You'll work 12.5-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM for a 91-day assignment beginning May 6, 2026.

What You'll Do

• Provide respiratory care in critical care settings with protocol-driven ventilator management
• Perform patient assessments and implement care based on evaluate-and-treat protocols
• Administer aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, oxygen, and medical gas therapy
• Conduct ventilator management, weaning, and waveform graphic interpretation
• Manage airways including intubation, extubation, and trach tube changes and care
• Execute arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
• Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, and pulmonary diagnostic testing
• Provide patient and family education and mentor new employees
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation, charting, and billing

Your Qualifications

• 0–2 years clinical experience with a minimum of 6 months in critical care
• Critical care, emergency department, and pediatric experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NBRC-RRT certifications
• NRP certification required within 180 days of start
• RCP certification required
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and computer proficiency

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,072
