Endoscopy RN Job in Potsdam, NY

Saint Lawrence - Canton - Potsdam Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy unit. This is a travel position offering weekly pay of $2,540.16 with a 91-day contract starting June 22, 2026.

Schedule & Location

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (5x8 days)
• Some weekend call and one night of call every 7–12 days required
• Potsdam, NY; must live more than 75 miles from facility
• Maximum 7 days RTO policy

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 3:1 during day shifts
• Handle approximately 35 visits per day in a 3-room, 9-bed unit
• Work with adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Perform inpatient and outpatient endoscopy procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, EBUS, and EUS
• Assist with biopsies, procedure setup, and specimen handling
• Operate and maintain endoscopy equipment including bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, and sterilization equipment
• Responsible for high-level disinfection, instrument processing, and room restocking
• Floating to other units required
• Scrubs provided by facility

Requirements

• RN degree with current New York state nursing license (in hand to submit)
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience
• Epic charting system experience (hard requirement)
• BLS certification required
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 5 billable hours)
