Radiation Therapist Job in Joplin, MO

Mercy Hospital Joplin is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment in the Oncology Unit. This is a day shift position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, on a 5x8 schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours. No weekend or on-call responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments including 3D, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, and SBRT
• Treat approximately 25–35 patients daily
• Perform CT simulations to support treatment planning
• Operate Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator and Mosaiq R&V system
• Document treatment delivery and patient information in EPIC EMR
• Ensure accurate, safe, and compassionate patient care while collaborating with the radiation oncology team

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT(T) — RT(T) certification or higher
• 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience
• Demonstrated competency performing CT simulations
• Proficiency with Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator and Mosaiq R&V system
• Knowledge of 3D, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, and SBRT treatment delivery
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT (R) VI certification
