CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a CT Technologist for weekday overnight shifts. This is a 10-hour position working Monday through Thursday from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST, with on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed by the unit.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
• Position patients appropriately, including safe patient handling techniques for patients with limited mobility
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing procedures
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging support
• Identify images and ensure proper transmission to the PACS system upon exam completion
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by documenting all necessary information within EPIC
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility

Required qualifications:

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State licensure (must obtain prior to starting)
• Two years of experience, including Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• Six months of Siemens scanner experience
• BLS certification from American Heart Association only
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Patient and compassionate disposition with team player mentality

Preferred qualifications:

• One year of Epic experience
• Injection certification (willing to complete during orientation)
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment

This 89-week assignment begins June 22, 2026. Weekly pay is $3,003.
