About this role

CHI St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for its cardiac catheterization department. You will work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities that include 1–2 weeknight calls per week (3:30 PM to 7:00 AM), every third weekend (Friday to Monday morning, 24-hour call), and every other holiday. A 20-minute response time is required for call coverage.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work across 3 cardiac catheterization labs, supporting approximately 4 cases per day
  • Perform scrubbing and/or panning duties and IV starts
  • Handle emergent revascularization, left heart catheterization (LHC), right heart catheterization (RHC), angioplasty (ATK), peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, cardioversion, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), device implantation, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemaker insertion
  • Operate and support equipment including intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, Shockwave, Laser, intrafractional reserve (IFR)/fractional flow reserve (FFR), intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), Rotablator (Rotapro), and 4-port manifold systems
  • Float to Heart and Vascular pre- and post-operative units as needed

Required Qualifications & Credentials

  • Allied Health Professional credential
  • BLS certification
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • If ARRT credentialed, must be registered with NDMIRT (North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapist Licensing Board)
  • Active North Dakota Rad Tech License (required for ARRT-credentialed clinicians)
  • Radiation badge must be in hand prior to your start date

Equipment & Systems

You will use EPIC charting and Philips Xper equipment in a facility equipped with Siemens C-Arm and specialized cardiac technology. One week of orientation, including classroom and lab training, will prepare you for the role. The facility provides scrubs.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026. You will work a 5×8 schedule (five 8-hour days per week) at a weekly pay rate of $3,212.
