PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day and night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with 13-week contract length
• Every other weekend and every other holiday requirement
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically higher acuity units
• Patient ratio of 4:1 in fast-paced environment
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2+ years experience required with stepdown/intermediate/PCU experience mandatory
• ICU experience preferred, Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ventilator/Trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Work with patients requiring heavy telemetry, stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke care
• Handle primary patients and insulin drips
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times
• Must be hard worker, resilient, and manage change well in independent work environment
