ICU Registered Nurse Job in Charlotte, NC

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our ICU in Charlotte, NC. This is a 13-week travel assignment with a start date of June 29, 2026.

Position Details

• 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratios typically 2:1, may flex to 3:1 during high census
• No call requirement; floating is required
• Weekly pay: $1,920.67

Requirements

• Current RN license (NC or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience (not general ICU)
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications
• EKG testing prior to start
• Strong neuro critical care background with acute stroke patient experience

Essential Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management
• IV starts and central line care
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration
• Continuous IV sedation
• CVA and acute stroke management
• External ventricular drain (EVD) and ICP monitoring
• Lumbar drain experience
• Post-neurosurgery patient care

Preferred Skills

• Arterial line management

Equipment & Systems

• Equipment: EVD, lumbar drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, Arctic Sun
• Charting: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

Orientation & Time Off

• 24-hour orientation (2 days or 2 nights)
• Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (non-holiday)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
